Nigerian foods, Nigerian cuisine or Nigerian dishes are a host of many local African cuisines predominantly eaten in Nigeria by Nigerians at home and/or Nigerians in diaspora. There are lots of Nigerian foods and cuisines than can be properly documented and all put in one list, this is due to the many ethnic groups present in the country, of which each ethnic group have their own list of unique African cuisines eaten by their people home and abroad.Each of these ethnic groups have their respective food all of these foods from different ethnic groups in Nigeria put together are what we know as Nigerian foods and cuisines. Irrespective of whichever ethnic group each of these Nigerian food originates from, they all have the signature associated with Nigerian foods and y extension most west African foods, that signature is that the foods are most times always spicy.

There's a spice and herb meant for different Nigerian food. So whenever you find yourself chewing and/or swallowing any kind of African food and it has these features:

- palm oil and or ground nut oil
...chances are you're getting yourself fed with one of our various Nigerian foods or their varieties.
Having known that all Nigerian foods and their recipes are too many to compile and put in one list all at once, we will be updating this page with lots of more Nigerian foods and Nigeria cuisines, dishes and other African cuisines and dishes presently popular and well eaten in Nigeria. For sake of easy identification, yes some Nigerian foods are not very easy identified we will be starting with the very popular Nigerian foods you probably don't know if you're not a Nigerian or you're Nigerian living under the rocksππ.
As said in the previous paragraphs Nigerian cuisines and their recipes(ingredients and procedure of preparation) are many but that doesn't mean we can't start somewhere, we'll start with somewhere with the following most popular Nigerian cuisines eaten in Nigeria and outside Nigeria by Nigerians and lovers of our lovely Nigerian foods.
